BJRC Health and Safety Review

As we prepare our programme for the New Year, we would like to review some health and safety guidelines for Junior Riding Club events.

  • We know that everyone would like to watch their child(ren) in BJRC events, but the appropriate place to view is from the reception area. It is very important that we keep the gate area going in and out of the indoor arena clear for safe access for the horses and riders only.

  • It is particularly important that small children and dogs are not allowed in this area.

  • No child is allowed on a horse or pony without a hat at any time.

  • Members with their own horses and ponies are very welcome, but please remember that parents/guardians are responsible for the making certain that their horse/pony behaves safely around other horses and children. Horse/pony must be kept under control at all times.

  • Please do not leave your horses/ponies tied to lorries or trailers in the car park without supervision.

  • Only fully paid up members of the Bradbourne Junior Riding Club are insured at BJRC events.

  • The instructor at each event has the final say on all matters relating to health and safety.

We appreciate your cooperation in these matters. It is important for all concerned, both children and animals, that we have as safe an environment as possible in order for everyone to enjoy our events.
