Junior Riding Club
A thriving Riding Club runs events on a
regular basis at Bradbourne for both Senior and Junior members and
is in Area 10 of the British Riding Clubs. Most events take place on a Sunday, with a mixture of school and privately owned horses, giving an opportunity for friendly competition in

BJRC Health and Safety Review - We would like to review some health and safety guidelines for Junior Riding Club events.
We know that everyone would like to watch their child(ren) in BJRC events, but the appropriate place to view is from the reception area. It is very important that we keep the gate area going in and out of the indoor arena clear for safe access for the horses and riders only.
It is particularly important that small children and dogs are not allowed in this area.
No child is allowed on a horse or pony without a hat at any time.
Members with their own horses and ponies are very welcome, but please remember that parents/guardians are responsible for the making certain that their horse/pony behaves safely around other horses and children. Horse/pony must be kept under control at all times.
Please do not leave your horses/ponies tied to lorries or trailers in the car park without supervision.
Only fully paid up members of the Bradbourne Junior Riding Club are insured at BJRC events.
The instructor at each event has the final say on all matters relating to health and safety.
We appreciate your cooperation in these matters. It is important for all concerned, both children and animals, that we have as safe an environment as possible in order for everyone to enjoy our events.

For participants in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, time spent helping with RDA on a regular basis qualifies for the Service element of the award. And helping with a residential summer camp can be used as the Residential component of the Gold award. Students planning a career in the caring professions will find that experience as an RDA helper is highly valued by admissions tutors and potential employers.
If you are over 14 years of age and would like to find out more, please phone 0845 2411386 or email via the Contacts page.
New helpers are asked to complete an enrolment form and can, if they wish, join the Bradbourne RDA Group for a membership fee of £7.00 per annum.
